The Head of the GTU Educational Process Management Service thanked the Head of the Center for Professional Educational Programs Eka Nareshelashvili, and Inclusive Education Specialist Tamar Makharashvili, for organizing the event, as well as the guests - representatives of the Professional Skills Agency, Giorgi Arziani and Nino Gorgadze, educational psychologist and inclusive education specialist Nino Nikoleishvili.

As Zaza Buachidze stated, several dozen students with special educational needs are enrolled in professional programs at the Georgian Technical University.

“It is our responsibility to ensure that no one is denied the opportunity to learn, develop, and succeed. The Georgian Technical University, under the leadership of its Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, actively supports and ensures that inclusive services are created and developed for people with disabilities. With accessible infrastructure, assistive technologies, academic support systems, and awareness-raising initiatives, we strive to break down barriers and open the door to education for everyone. Creating an inclusive educational environment is a continuous process that requires the involvement of all parties - faculty, students, policymakers, and the entire community. We need to listen to people with disabilities, take their needs into account, and act with wisdom and compassion. Today’s event is an important step towards this goal. When we gather and share experiences and ideas, we raise awareness and create the basis for positive change. We reaffirm our readiness to continue our joint efforts to create an environment where inclusive education is the norm, not the exception. Georgian Technical University is ready to be a leader and ensure that no one is left behind,” said Zaza Buachidze.
