GTU Rector Congratulates Orthodox Christians on the Glorious Easter Holiday
The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, congratulates Orthodox Christians, the Georgian people, students, and colleagues on the Glorious Holiday of Easter.

“Dear compatriots, Christians, especially students, colleagues, and employees of the Georgian Technical University, to all those who celebrate the Glorious Easter Holiday of the Savior in Georgia and worldwide today - congratulations!

Christ is Risen! Truly Risen!

Glorious Easter is a holiday of special spiritual significance for Christians. It symbolizes the victory of life over death and light over darkness, reminding us of the great power of boundless love, self-sacrifice, and mercy.

For us, Georgians, Orthodoxy has always been, is, and will be the path to spiritual and physical salvation, the history of Georgia is a clear confirmation of this. As Ilia the Righteous said, homeland, language, and faith - these three are the pillars of our national identity, which means that we must always be ready to defend our country, culture, and spirituality. This is expressed in more education and the desire to build the country.

Dear students, I would like to especially remind you of the words of the national hero, Merab Kostava - “The path of the Georgian nation is the path of Christ, the thorny path of the Crucifixion and the inevitable Resurrection”. Georgia has gone through Golgotha, and now we are on the path of Resurrection and Reconstruction, so the true faith, knowledge, and work of the future generation, will be the basis of our country’s success and the path to a strong, educated Georgia. With the prayers and blessings of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, may Easter be a bringer of unity and success for you and each of us in the country.

Peace to Georgia!

Christ is Risen! Truly Risen! Congratulations!”, is stated in the congratulation letter of the GTU Rector.
