“The partnership between the Georgian Technical University and the Land Transport Agency is an important step in fulfilling our common mission, which aims to strengthen education, research, and practical training in transport and automotive engineering.

Georgian Technical University has always been committed to innovation and academic excellence. By signing the document, we once again confirm our readiness to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies necessary to meet the growing demands of the transport sector.

The transport sector is undergoing rapid changes, driven by technological progress, environmental requirements, and, consequently, new regulations.
Against the backdrop of ongoing and planned reforms in the country’s automotive sector, the need for qualified specialists is particularly urgent. With this memorandum, we are creating a solid scientific, pedagogical, and practical cooperation, which will ensure, according to the existing requirements, the preparation of our students for future leadership in the field.

By adapting academic education to practical needs, we create opportunities for practical training, internships, and joint research projects. This collaboration will facilitate the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience so that our graduates will be equipped with both theoretical engineering knowledge and practical problem-solving skills and professional experience.

In addition, this partnership reflects our shared vision for sustainable development and technological progress. Through joint efforts, we will contribute to the development of Georgia’s transport infrastructure, improve road safety, raise automotive standards, and support innovative technology introduction.

We thank the Land Transport Agency for its willingness to cooperate and support the formation of future professionals in the field of transport. I believe the memorandum will contribute to significant progress and long-term success,” Tamar Tsereteli noted in her speech.

According to the memorandum, the parties, within their competence, will encourage the development of relations in education and scientific research, operation, efficiency, safety, and modern innovative road transport technologies.

In turn, the Georgian Technical University, within the framework of the cooperation envisaged by the memorandum, will maximally facilitate the implementation of joint training and retraining programs for specialists for the needs of the Land Transport Agency, taking into account modern trends in the field. The academic staff of the Georgian Technical University, within the framework of the ongoing reforms in Georgia, will ensure the preparation and offer of new short and long-term educational programs for the Agency’s employees according to their competence.
