On the appointment of elections for the position of Head of the University Quality Assurance Service.
According to the Resolution of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University No. 01-05-04/17 of February 7, 2025,
1. Elections to fill the position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Georgian Technical University are scheduled for March 7th, 2025.
2. Candidates participating in the elections will register from February 21st, 2025 to February 28th, 2025.
3. The candidates’ action programs will be heard at the Academic Council on March 6th, 2025.
4. A person who meets the following requirements may participate in the elections:
a) has a doctorate or equivalent academic degree;
b) has at least 4 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work;
c) has at least 4 years of experience in a leadership position;
d) is under 65 years of age.
5. The candidate must submit the following documentation to the election commission:
a) Original and copy of the document certifying a doctorate or equivalent academic degree;
b) Document certifying work experience;
c) autobiography (CV);
d) Original and copy of the document certifying identity;
e) Action program;
f) Certificate of medical and drug examination;
g) Certificate of conviction for committing a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability and certificate of deprivation of rights.
h) 1 photograph (size 3x4 cm).
6. Applications are accepted at the Secretariat of the University Election Commission, Tbilisi, Kostava, 77, Administrative Building, 2nd floor, room 233. Applications are accepted from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, except weekends and holidays.
7. According to the University Regulations, the Academic Council by a qualified majority (2/3) of votes, by secret ballot, individually decides on the issue of holding an administrative position by a person aged 65 and over. A person of the specified age must additionally submit the consent of the Academic Council to the University Election Commission. A person interested in this issue must apply to the Academic Council with an application by February 18th, 2025, through the University’s Administrative Department (address: 77 Kostava St., Administrative Building, 2nd floor). The person’s presence at the Academic Council during the discussion of his/her issue is mandatory, otherwise the topic will not be considered.
