“The Road-Before and After” - Para-Fencer Irma Khetsuriani Held a Public Lecture

At the Georgian Technical University, Georgian para-athlete in fencing, winner of the title of the best female wheelchair fencer of 2017, winner of the World Cup among youth in the Netherlands and Poland in 2017, silver medalist of the World and European Championships, winner of the 2018 World Cup, participant of multiple the World and European Championships and winner of 9 gold medals over 4 years, Irma Khetsuriani held a public lecture – “The Road – Before and After”.
The public lecture of Irma Khetsuriani was organized by the Faculty of Law and International Relations and the “Christian Culture Research Laboratory”, opened by the Dean of the Faculty.
As Professor Irakli Gabisonia stated, the life path of para-fencing Irma Khetsuriani is an example of tireless work, perseverance, and success for her peers and future generations.
“The topic of Irma Khetsuriani’s public lecture is symbolic, her life path before and after success. This is a path of courage, hard work, struggle to achieve the set goal, and joy, a vivid example of how we should create the future.
With her life and achievements, she is the best example for everyone, especially for young people - how not to be afraid of life difficulties, even tragic ones, and to fight not to become a victim of trials but their conqueror. I wish our famous athlete success,” Irakli Gabisonia noted in his speech.
After the public lecture, the students’ meeting with para-fence Irma Khetsuriani took place in a question-and-answer format.
