Avi Staiman, founder and CEO of Academic Language Experts (ALE), held an “AI Bootcamp for Research Managers” at the Georgian Technical University.
The “AI Bootcamp” was organized by the GTU Technology and Grants Office and the Horizon Europe Georgia National Office and financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia.
About 200 Georgian and foreign scientists, researchers, and managers participated in it.
According to the head of the GTU Technology and Grant Projects Office, Avi Staiman, founder and executive director of Academic Language Experts (ALE), is one of the leading specialists in the field, conducting training in Europe and America.
As Giorgi Mikiashvili states, the organization and conduct of highly rated and sought-after training by the Georgian Technical University presents the university as a leader in both the grant and research fields.
“Georgian Technical University actively promotes the development and submission of grant applications in the field of research. In addition to scientists and researchers from our university, the AI training was attended by representatives of scientific circles from more than 25 universities accredited in Georgia and leading European universities.
The training is relevant and important because artificial intelligence allows researchers, scientists, and managers to simplify the work process and save time.
Through the training, the participants acquired the necessary knowledge that will help them develop and manage projects and became familiar with all the necessary tools and methods that they will use effectively in their professional activities.
I would like to emphasize that organizing such training in the university space will further increase university awareness, especially since the training was conducted by one of the innovators in the field, Avi Staiman, founder and CEO of Academic Language Experts.
He is also the co-founder of SciWriter.ai, which helps researchers write projects using artificial intelligence.
in addition, he is the co-host of the New Books Network podcast - Scholarly Communication and a reviewer for Wiley’s Learned Publishing journal, a core member of CANGARU, where he represents EASE and works on research that envisages the creation of a policy for the responsible use of AI,” notes Giorgi Mikiashvili.
The “AI Bootcamp for Research Managers” lasted three days and was held in a hybrid format.
