At the Giorgi Kalandadze and Aleksandre Tsintsadze Championships held in Batumi, the swimming team of the swimming pool of the Georgian Technical University “Water Species Center – Tonus” won 17 medals and team gold and silver medals.
In addition to “Tonus” (coaches - Manana Turkia and Irina Minjhulina), boys born in 2011-2012 and girls born in 2012-2013 from Adjara, Gori, Rustavi, Sachkhere, Chiatura and Tbilisi teams participated in the tournament.
‘Tonus” team members are Davit Akhvlediani (born in 2011) - 3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze; Markoz Nebunishvili (born in 2011) - 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze; Sandro Arutinov (born in 2011) - 1 gold, 2 bronze; Semyon Gavrlichenko (born in 2011) - 1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze; Ivan Gavrlichenko (born in 2013) - won 1 bronze.
Also, in the team competition in the 4X50 combined relay (team composition was: Davit Akhvlediani, Markoz Nebunishvili, Sandro Arutinovi, and Semyon Gavrilichenko), the “Tonus” team won gold medals, in 4X50 freestyle swimming (team composition: Davit Akhvlediani, Markoz Nebunishvili, Ivan Gavrlichenko and Semyon Gavrlichenko) - silver medals.
