The Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Georgian Technical University, Associate Professor Davit Makhviladze, presented a report to the representative council (Senate) of the Georgian Technical University, and the faculties representatives within the competition framework announced for the position of the head of the service.
The head of the quality assurance service introduced to the public the processes taking place at the Georgian Technical University during the last 4 years, as well as the plans.
Davit Makhviladze, who was listened to by the GTU Academic Council, led by the Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, on October 31st, thanked the public for their support and active, fruitful cooperation during the past 4 years of his tenure.
As Davit Makhviladze said before the voting procedure, it is a great honor for him to take part in the competition announced for holding a responsible position.
“It is my responsibility to make a report before the representative council of the Georgian Technical University. A few days ago, the academic council listened to my action plan as a participant in the competition announced as the head of the quality assurance service – “Continuous development and international recognition of the quality assurance system of the Georgian Technical University”.
Today, I present to you a program that combines the goals of continuous improvement of the educational and research process, academic and research environment, information management, innovation, technological transfer, internationalization, and the implementation of the third mission of the university. In case of my election, the quality assurance service will successfully continue the implementation of the goals and tasks defined by the action plan,” noted Davit Makhviladze in his speech.
The representative council positively evaluated the report of Davit Makhviladze and supported his candidacy by secret ballot with the majority of votes.
