Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, based on the decision of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University, presented Professor Marine Maisuradze of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design with the “Gold Medal” of the Georgian Technical University for special services rendered to the university.
As the Rector mentioned in his speech, Marine Maisuradze raised many worthy generations and made a great contribution to the successful activities of the Georgian Technical University. According to Academician David Gurgenidze, she participated in such important projects as the reconstruction of the Academic Drama Theater named after Shota Rustaveli.
She also participated in the development of the construction project of several residential houses and public purpose facilities, including the multifunctional hospital complex on Uznadze Street, the multi-profile shopping center complex “Kalakis Guli” on Abashidze Street, the multi-apartment residential building on Nafareuli Street (Tbilisi), individual houses in Tbilisi, Tsavkisi, Tskaltubo, and others; participated in many architectural creative competitions and scientific conferences; She has researched artistic-historical and architectural topics; She is the author of scientific publications and the book “Methodical Guidelines in Architecture”; For many years of scientific-pedagogical and creative work, she has received departmental awards and certificates of honor.
“Considering the merits of Marine Maisuradze to the university and the country, the academic council decided to award the meritorious teacher and scientist the highest award of the university - the “Gold Medal”. On behalf of the university community, I congratulate Mrs. Marine on this honorary award”, - noted David Gurgenidze.
