The event was attended by representatives of various leading universities and companies accredited in Georgia, as well as the head of the educational process management service of GTU - Zaza Buachidze, and the head of the career development department of the same service, associate professor Nato Katamadze.
According to the vice-rector of the Georgian Technical University, the purpose of the memorandum is to establish cooperation between the company and the university, so that the parties jointly support students in starting work with a flexible schedule and obtaining the opportunity to finance their studies.
“Within the framework of the memorandum, the company undertakes to provide the university with all kinds of information about financing and vacancies in the company, and the university will ensure the provision of information to students.
We welcome such an initiative from the company because along with imparting knowledge, the employment of students is one of the priorities. The university constantly manages to establish contact with qualified organizations in the labor market, sign a memorandum of cooperation, and make the employment process easier for students. With a specific offer, the company will fully finance the tuition fee (2250 GEL) for students employed in their network (Nikora, Libre). This applies to already employed students as well, which is acceptable and welcome for us”, said Tamar Tsereteli.
As the head of the educational process management service of GTU states, the university is focused on students, learning, and their subsequent employment. We welcome the “Nikora Trade” initiative and hope it will have many followers in the labor market”, said Zaza Buachidze.
According to the head of the career development department of the educational process management service, the university constantly helps students to put the acquired knowledge into practice and increase their chances of employment.
“Our department constantly takes care of students’ employment and career development. We have been cooperating with “Nikora Trade” for a long time. The organization has participated in all employment forums conducted by the university. The number of students employed in various positions in their network is increasing every year. The signing of the memorandum was a further deepening of our cooperation”, noted Nato Katamadze.
