The Boys' University Teams Finished the National Sand Volleyball Championship With an Unconditional Victory - With Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals

The men’s volleyball teams of the Georgian Technical University won an unconditional victory at the 2024 Georgian National Championship in sand volleyball and, accordingly, received the title of champion, as well as silver and bronze medals.
Georgian Technical University presented three teams at this year’s national championship in sand volleyball, that shared all three prize places. The university team – “GTU 1” won the gold medal and the title of champion, “GTU 2” won the silver medal, and “GTU 3” won the bronze.
According to the rector of the Georgian Technical University, academician David Gurgenidze, the victory of three student teams from one university in the national sand volleyball championship is an important event in the university’s sports life.
“The men’s volleyball teams of the Georgian Technical University competed well. They won the champion title, took the 2nd and 3rd prize places, and brought great success to their alma mater, gold, silver, and bronze medals.
On behalf of the professors and students of our university, I congratulate our student teams on winning the title of National Champion of Georgia, as well as silver and bronze in sand volleyball.
It is gratifying that our students, with the support of the university administration, continue the traditions of the sport in such a dignified way. We thank them and wish them to celebrate many more victories”, noted the rector David Gurgenidze.
