As Academician Edisher Kvesitadze, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering of GTU, noted, the summer school goal is to promote the introduction and improvement of modern laboratory practices in universities.

According to the dean, this teaching method is important for developing skills in participants as generating critical analysis and new ideas, presenting and discussing the results obtained in the professional field, and organizing and analyzing laboratory research.

“For us, theoretical and practical training of lecturers, laboratory assistants, and students with modern laboratory methods in the direction of biochemistry and immunology and increasing the share of practical skills in the teaching of natural and agricultural sciences is of the utmost importance.

It is worth noting that young people expressed their interest in natural and agricultural sciences. This summer school course allows participants to fully master laboratory skills in biochemistry and immunology, as well as to improve the technique of working with equipment, which will deepen their knowledge in relevant areas and introduce new teaching methods in universities. I would like to thank the summer school mentors - Doctor of Agrarian Sciences, Christine Museliani, and Doctor of Chemical and Biological Engineering - Tamriko Khobelia. I wish success to my colleagues and students”, said Edisher Kvesitadze.

For information - the summer school is held annually in Batumi with the participation of the Georgian Technical University and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
