The Georgian Technical University indoor football (Futsal) team, including David Kifiani, Nikoloz Kharchilava, Sandro Tomadze, Giga Ushveridze, Beka Khabuliani, Guga Bedoshvili, Zuka Kariauli, Kakhi Mikcheladze, Giorgi Liparteliani, Oto Rekhviashvili, Luka Solomonia, Lasha Kakachia, Mamuka Nagervadze, from League 1 moved to the Premier League.
Universiade - 2024 was organized by the Georgian Federation of University Sports and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, and Futsal teams of accredited universities in Georgia participated in it.
As Archil Ioseliani, head of the Sports department of the Georgian Technical University said, the indoor football team has been participating in tournaments since 2004 and has won many victories over the past 20 years.
“The futsal team of the Georgian Technical University improved its ranking and moved from the first league to the highest league. I congratulate the young athletes and their coaches, Lasha Tsnobiladze and Goga Khuroshvili, on another success. The team played the last game of the first league against the team of Ilia State University and won convincingly, although before this result, our team had already had a guarantee for a trip to the higher league”, noted Archil Ioseliani.
