The Georgian Technical University students met the poet, prose writer, and playwright Nino Sadghobelashvili and writer and playwright Basa Janikashvili within the framework of the Tbilisi International Book Festival.
The event was opened by the Deputy Rector of the Georgian Technical University in the field of science. As Professor Tamar Lominadze said, The Georgian Technical University is a partner of
the Tbilisi International Book Festival for the second year.
“It is natural that all professions, especially the educational system, should try to popularize books and knowledge. The Georgian Technical University is a partner of the Tbilisi International Book Festival for the second year, many events are held to promote book reading, and the university publishing house publishes 100 to 120 scientific books annually. The Niko Muskhelishvili University Library operates in the Georgian Technical University and is one of the largest libraries in the country.
The library’s universal fund contains educational, scientific, and artistic publications. Among them are unique (rarity) editions and represent the rarest copies.
It is gratifying that the library has thousands of active readers. The purpose of the event is to introduce students to creative people, and writers who have made their way into Georgian literature. I would like to thank Nino Sadghobelashvili and Basa Janikashvili for visiting the university”, said Tamar Lominadze.
According to GTU, the meting was held in question-answer mode. Nino Sadgobelashvili and Basa Janikashvili gave comprehensive answers to the students’ questions.
