Georgian Technical University is participating in EU funded Erasmus+ KA2 action project PRINTeL - “CHANGE IN CLASSROOM: Promoting Innovative Teaching&Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”.
Within the frame of the Project, in November-December 2018, a 5-day intensive (accelerated) training for GTU lecturers is envisaged to be held at the Project EU partner universities: Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), Universitat de Barcelona (Spain), Universidade do Porto (Portugal), Linkopings Universitet (Sweden) and Graz FH Joanneum Gesellschaft (Austria).
11 instructors from GTU will be trained within the program.
In compliance with the publicity principle and transparency, information about the competition was posted on GTU official website on
23 July, 2018. For the summer holidays, the deadline of application submission (4 Septemebr, 2018) was postponed till
11 September, 2018.
As a result, 26 applications were submitted (for 11 vacancies).

The applications were reviewed according to the selection criteria and appropriate requirements, especially considering such documentation as motivation letter, EUROPASS CV, English language knowledge level, as well as applicants position and previous experience in conducting trainings for staff development.
After the review of applications, based on required competences, selection criteria and submitted application documentation, Selection Commission sel ected and nominated 11 candidates for TOT training courses.

Selected candidates were informed about the selection results and they are obliged to undertake a five-day in-house training course (10 hours in total) for at least 10 GTU lecturers/teaching staff members within 3 months period after the completion of TOT training course at PRINTeL partner European Universities.
The aim of the training is to prepare trainers and instructors who will acquire innovative and technology-enhanced methods of teaching and learning with the objective of sharing and disseminating of gained experience and best practices afterwards with colleagues and students at GTU and to apply the gained knowledge and skills in teaching practice as well thus encouraging innovative teaching and learning methods at GTU. Herewith GTU academic personnel have the opportunity to be actively engaged in various activities in the main phase of the Erasmus + Project PRINTeL.
All the costs related to the TOT training course, including travel costs will be financed fr om the budget of PRINTeL project.
