Gold Medal

Who will be awarded the GTU award "Gold Medal":

The Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University has established the "Gold Medal" award. This decision was reached by the members of GTU's Academic Council at the meeting dated May 19, 2022.

The "Gold Medal" is a Georgian Technical University honor presented for outstanding contribution to the university.

The resolution states that a citizen of Georgia, a foreign nation, or a stateless person, would receive the "Gold Medal" in appreciation of their exceptional contribution to the growth, recognition, and promotion of the Georgian Technical University.

The "Gold Medal" is granted by the decision of the university's Academic Council, based on the Rector's suggestion.

The Rector of the Georgian Technical University will formally present the recipient, the award, and the appropriate certificate.

Since the inception of the GTU award "Gold Medal," 56 people have received it, including both Georgian and international citizens.
