Erasmus+ - Course on Forestry Issues

On 13 -17 February, the representatives of the Poznan University of Life Sciences – PULS (Poland): Dr. Grzegorz Rączka (Department of Forest Management) and Dr. Cezary Beker (Department of Forest Technology) have been visiting Georgian Technical University within Erasmus+ mobility project, coordinated by PULS.

Polish guests from the Faculty of Forestry have been visiting GTU within Erasmus+ mobility project for teaching activities and delivered the lectures at GTU Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering.

Polish scientists made presentation about Poznan University of Life Sciences and their Faculty. At the lectures have been discussed the issues of forestry field, including the development simulation of forest resources in Poland, growth model of unthinned Scots pine stands, forest inventory and monitoring, forest inventory systems in EU and in Poland, etc.

It should be noted that during fall semester of 2017/2018 academic year 3 GTU students from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering (Tamar Berishvili, Gocha Aleksidze and Nugzar Japaridze) and two PUELS students from the Faculty of Forestry (Jakub Cichocki and Piotr Bogucki) have already done an exchange within abovementioned ongoing Erasmus+ KA1 project.
