On 15 – 30 October, Ms. Marika Zviadadze, Senior Specialist at International Relations and Standards Office of Georgian Technical University visited University of L’Aquila (Italy) within ERASMUS+ KA1 mobility project coordinated by University of L’Aquila.
She gave a presentation at International Relations Office of Italian university. The presentation was about Georgia, higher education system in Georgia as well as about Georgian Technical University, its educational and research activities.
Ms. Marika’s mobility activities and trainings at University of L’Aquila have been organized by Prof. Alessandra Imperatori and Margherita Romano.
During her mobility stay she had working meetings with Italian Professors Anna Tozzi, Marco Calabrese, Massimiliano D'Innocenzo, Antonella di Medio, Michele Anatone and others. At the meetings were considered the possibilities to develop joint master's programs in the field of telecommunications taking into account valuable experience of University of L’Aquila in this regard.
On 24-25 October GTU representative attended the meeting within the project - “Modernization of the Curricula in Sphere of Smart Building Engineering – Green Building (GREB)”. At the event there have been discussed the issues of future cooperation with Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – UPM) as well as with various Universities from post-Soviet countries.
On 30 October, Marika Zviadadze took active part in some events, including opening ceremony of 2017/2018 academic year as well as in the preparation activities for 30th anniversary of Erasmus project at the University. It should be noted that the event attended by important persons in the history of UnivAQ, Emeritus Professors, “Mamma Erasmus” Sofia Corradi, etc.
During her visit in Italy, Ms. Marika Zviadadze visited University of Foggia for the monitoring of GTU students studying there within MUSA and MOBIS projects funded by the Apulia Region. She met Mr. Giulio Esposito, coordinator of above mentioned projects as well. At the meeting have been discussed the possibilities of further cooperation development between Georgian and Italian Universities.
Mobility stay in Italy included social-cultural activities as well.
