On 2 -6 May, Mr. Ojārs Bāliņš from the Faculty of Engineering at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences has been visiting Georgian Technical University within Erasmus+ mobility project, coordinated by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Valmiera, Latvia). He has been visiting GTU within Erasmus+ mobility project for training activities.

Being at GTU Latvian guest found out more about educational processes and available study opportunities at the University. He visited University Library and well-known GTU labs.

Mr. Ojārs met academic staff and students of the Departments of Engineering Physics and Economic Informatics (Information Systems) of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems.

He visited popular labs at Engineering Physics Department and became familiar with students activities and their achievements.

At the Department of Economic Informatics (Information Systems) Latvian programmer gave interesting presentation for Professor-teachers and students and they were able to become acquainted with Latvia and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. At the meeting with Georgian Professors he shared his experience in IT study programme development.

Mobility schedule included working meetings with the representatives of GTU International Relations and Standards Office as well. Mr. Ojārs Bāliņš met Prof. Otar Zumburidze, Institutional Coordinator and Head of International Relations and Standards office, Prof. George Dzidziguri, Head of Quality Assurance Service. At the meetings with Institutional Coordinator and other IRO representatives were discussed the details of ongoing mobility project and the possibilities to launch new mobility projects as well. Herewith were considered perspectives of the cooperation in joint IT projects.
