On April 18-21, at Afyon Kocatepe University – AKU (Turkey) was conducted the "Erasmus 4th International Week" organized by the AKU International Relations Office (coordinators Dr. Ayhan Erol, Ms. Nilda Hocaoglu) within Erasmus+ program. Representatives of various Universities fr om Slovakia, Poland, Malaysia, etc. participated in the event.
Ms. Marika Zviadadze, Erasmus+ ICM project grantee, was the representative from Georgia and Georgian Technical University (International Relations and Standards Office) in Afyon.
Within the 4th Erasmus International Week participant universities and organizations presented their countries and HEIs, sharing good practices related to mobility projects. During the event were discussed the issues related to higher education, students and staff exchange projects, new technology for teaching and learning, etc.
The participants met with the Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University, Vice-rector, and other authorities. Through the 4th Erasmus International Week various cultural events were organized as well.
Herewith International Week participants were able to attend the 1st International Conference on Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences Conference - ICETAS 2016 at AKU wh ere the researchers and engineers presented and discussed recent innovations and new techniques in Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences and the Organizing Committee encouraged companies and institutions to showcase their modern products and equipment in the conference area.
Afyon Kocatepe University is a State University in Afyonkarahisar and was founded in 1992. However, the history of university goes back to 1974 with Afyonkarahisar Finance and Accounting High School, a branch of Eskişehir Economics and Trading Sciences Academy. Now, the university consists of 12 faculties and 4 schools at Bachelor of Science degree level, 15 vocational colleges at Associate Degree level, 3 institutes for graduate education.
