On May 18, 2015, Georgian Technical University hosted the guests from Slovakia, the rector of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Professor Peter Bielik and the Head of International Relations Office, Vladislav Valach. The event was organized by the EC funded FP7-INCO-2013-9 project NoGAP twinning programme. The guests met with the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician Archil Prangishvili, the Deputy Rector, supervisor of the NoGAP project in GTU, Professor Zurab Gasitashvili, the Head of Agricultural Science and Bio-system Engineering Faculty, Professor Giga Kvartskhava.
The meeting was attended by the professors of GTU and invited guests as well. The opportunities for the future cooperation, based on the Memorandum of Collaboration signed between the universities in 2014, were discussed.
In the frames of the twinning programme of the project NoGAP there were scheduled other visits as well. The guests met with the Deputy Minister of Education and Sciences of Georgia, Tamaz Marsagishvili. The next visit was organized at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. During the visit at the Agriculture University of Georgia the memorandum of collaboration was signed by the rectors Prof. Lasha Gotsiridze and Prof. Peter Bielik.
