On December 8, at GTU was conducted rewarding ceremony. Director General of the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK, Japan), Prof. Atsuto Suzuki was conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa of Georgian Technical University in recognition of the outstanding contribution to high-energy physics, for the establishment and maintenance of scientific cooperation between Georgian and Japanese scientists.
