First Training Workshops at European Universities within Tempus IV-th Call Joint Project "Building Capacity for University-Enterprise Partnerships towards Competency based Training in
Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine"
Within the TEMPUS IV-th Call Joint Project "Building capacity for University-Enterprise partnerships towards competency based training in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine", representatives of GTU - Deputy Rector, Prof. L. Klimiashvili, the Project Administrator, Prof. A. Ediberidze, Senior Specialist of International Relations and Standards Office, M. Sulaberidze and Senior Teacher of Business-Engineering Faculty, M. Kantaria visited European top universities to participate in workshops and special trainings.
During 11-17 March, 2012, they visited Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven and Voka Chamber of Commerce East Flanders in Belgium, and Aalen University and Steinbeis GmbH & Co KG für Technologietransfer in Germany; Académie de Grenoble in France and Coventry University in the Great Britain.
The purpose of this visit was acquaintance with best practices of university–enterprise partnership models. Specific technological tasks and production samples were represented at various enterprises and university labs during the workshops as well.These activities were designed to bring the insights for the development of the vision for further reform of university management and improvement of collaboration with enterprises.
Information gained through the workshops and trainings can be used to establish such center and laboratory at GTU as well as to develop the concept for university-enterprise partnership.
