On September 17, Education Center was established in Georgian Technical University. The Center is in compliance with modern standards and intended for the bachelor and MA students of electro energy field.
Education center is equipped by the French firm Schneider Electric with the financial support of joint stock company “Telasi”.
The center is designed to prepare specialists in energy field, train and advance their qualification.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Rusudan Kervalishvili, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, Minister of Energy of Georgia, Aleksandre Khetaguri, an Ambassador of France to Georgia, Eric Fournier, official representatives of the companies mentioned above, as well as Rector of GTU, Archil Prangishvili and representatives of GTU administration and academic staff.
Establishment of the center is very important for creating high-quality engineering-educational space not only in Georgia but in south Caucasus region as the similar equipment with its meaning and complexity does not exist in European education system.
During the ceremony 9 teachers trained in the center, were awarded with certificates as well. They will train up to 800 students during the year.
