On May 6, GTU hosted the workshop “Future Cooperation and Academic Training” Within the “Georgian-German school and Workshop in Basic Science” – CGSWHP’10 organized by the Research Centre Julich (FZJ) (Germany), together with the Georgian Partner Institutions: Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University and High Energy Physics Institute on May 3-7 in Tbilisi.
Nodar Surguladze, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education and Science opened the workshop.
Prof. Archil Prangishvili, the Rector of the GTU, welcomed the guests. Among the guests were representatives of the Research Centre Julich and GTU administration, as well as the GTU professor-teachers and students.
Prof. Otar Zumburidze, the head of the International Relations and Standards office, presented technical University, its Past, present and future plans.
German and Georgian scientists gave the presentations in basic science. The issues regarding future partnership were discussed at the meeting as well.
