On October 10-11, a mentoring coach training was held at the Tutoring and Mentoring Center of the Georgian Technical University, led by expert in the field Ekaterine Babunashvili.
Over the course of two days, participants discussed the following topics:
Basic principles and responsibilities of mentoring
Methods of effective communication with students
Strategies for increasing motivation, support, and engagement
Real-life case studies and practical exercises
Ethics, boundaries, and professional conduct of the mentoring role
The training was attended by 15 participants who successfully completed the program and, after certification, became official mentors of the Tutoring and Mentoring Center.
The training was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ project PROMENT, which aimed to strengthen the student support system through professional development and improvement of practical skills of mentors.
The Tutoring and Mentoring Center will continue to conduct similar trainings and development events in the future, which serve to provide high-quality academic and social support to students.
