As Academician David Gurgenidze noted, effective overcoming of global challenges is possible only through international cooperation and regional partnership, which in turn creates additional guarantees of engineering, economic, and environmental sustainability.

“In the modern world - in this era of accelerated urbanization, climate change and rapid technological transformations - where sustainable development, protection of ecological balance and infrastructural progress are closely interconnected - the synthesis of science and practice is gaining decisive importance, and at the same time, the role of civil and environmental engineering specialists, researchers and experts is growing. Effectively overcoming global challenges is possible only through international cooperation and regional partnerships, which create additional guarantees of engineering, economic, and environmental sustainability.

We believe that ICCEE 2025 will make a significant contribution to the further development of civil and environmental engineering in the South Caucasus region. Such international scientific forums provide an opportunity to jointly contribute to both regional and global progress by utilizing innovative technologies and intellectual resources.

On behalf of the Georgian Technical University, I would like to express my deep respect to the host university of the conference, and its rector, Professor Manuk Barseghiani, the organizers of this scientific event, its participants, and I wish the gathered community a fruitful working environment,” the GTU Rector noted in a video message.

56 scientists presented their reports at the ICCEE 2025 sections. Among them, Professor Gela Kipiani, Faculty of Construction of the Georgian Technical University, presented his work “Use of Metal Orange-colored Reinforcing Blocks in Landslide-Prone Areas”, and Associate Professor Nino Bakhtadze presented her paper “Introduction of Production and Use of Concrete Sulphate Resistance-Enhancing Aggregate Additive in the Black Sea Region”.
