“I Am Grateful to Have Been Part of a 36-Year Friendship,” Announces the Student of Saarland University of Technology and Economics About GTU
“I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to be part of the 36-year friendship between the Georgian Technical University and the Saarland University of Technology and Economics. Upon arriving in Georgia, I realized how important hospitality is in Georgia. Tbilisi completely captivated me with its diversity, history, and atmosphere, and the Technical University with its centuries-old history, laboratories, and research centers. I am very grateful to have had the chance to participate in this exchange program,” - this is how Gabrielle Lisa Rosa, a student at the Saarland University of Technology and Economics, evaluates her participation in the XIX International Scientific Conference “Government and Society - 2025”, held at the Georgian Technical University within the framework of the exchange program.

Gabrielle Lisa Rosa, a student at the Saarland University of Technology and Economics, and a group of students participated in the XIX International Scientific Conference “Government and Society - 2025”, held at the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Georgian Technical University.

As Gabriele Lisa Rosa notes in her letter, German students met with the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, within the framework of an international conference.

“From the very first minutes of arriving in Georgia, I felt the open and direct environment that is so often described, but until you meet it in person, you cannot feel its true power. Tbilisi completely amazed me. The diversity of the city, the coziness of old neighborhoods, the energy of modern spaces, streets saturated with history, and the genuine friendliness of people turned out to be special for me. I started every morning with the desire to discover a new place and ended every evening with great impressions. The Georgian Technical University was especially remembered by me for its intellectual atmosphere. The century-old history of the university, innovative laboratories, and research centers became a source of not only knowledge for me, but also professional inspiration. Meeting with the rector of the Technical University within the framework of the conference was a particularly remarkable moment for me. I really appreciate the sincere interest and attention he showed us, foreign students. The rector, academician David Gurgenidze, addressed us with memorable words - “The most important thing in your studies is to be good people. Because evil people who have great knowledge commit evil,” - this quote has been on my mind ever since. I am happy that I had the opportunity to participate in the XIX International Scientific Conference - “Government and Society - 2025”. It was a space where students from different countries shared ideas, experiences, and their own visions of the future. I am most grateful to have become part of the 36-year-old friendship that connects the Georgian Technical University and the Saarland University of Technology and Economics. This friendship means not only academic partnership, but also human closeness, cultural understanding, and mutual respect. I am very grateful to have been a part of this exchange program. Special thanks to HTW Saar and mainly to Professor Wilhelm Hauser, who organized this trip and laid the foundation for many years of friendship with the Georgian Technical University. One thing is clear - I am already looking forward to when I will be the host and when I will be able to represent our Saarland!”, Gabriel Lisa Rosa notes in her letter.
