Elections to fill the position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Chemical Technology of the Georgian Technical University will be held on November 12th, 2025; is said in the statement issued by the Council of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies, which we offer without changes.
In accordance with Article 25 of the Law of Georgia “On Higher Education”, Article 22 of the University Charter approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia No. 133/n of September 9th, 2013 “On Approval of the Charter of the Legal Entity of Public Law - Georgian Technical University”, Paragraphs 10 and 11 of Article 2, Articles 27 and 28 of the Regulation “On Conducting Elections of the Governing Bodies (Governing Entities) of the Georgian Technical University and the Faculty”, based on the decision taken at the meeting of the Council of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies of the University on October 20th, 2025 (Minutes of the Meeting No. 1).
1. Elections to fill the position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies will be held on November 12th, 2025.
2. The Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty will be elected by the Faculty Council for a term of 4 years.
3. The position of Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty may be held by a person who meets the following requirements:
a) is a professor or associate professor of the faculty;
b) has at least 5 years of work experience;
c) The candidate is required to:
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and guidelines developed by the European Association for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.
- Knowledge of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation standards and procedures;
- Knowledge of the state language (knowledge of a foreign language is desirable);
- Knowledge of quality management principles in the field of education;
- Knowledge of computer programs - MS Office;
- Sociability, teamwork skills;
- Knowledge of the following legal acts:
1. Law of Georgia “On Higher Education”;
2. Law of Georgia “On the Development of the Quality of Education”;
3. Law of Georgia “On Vocational Education”.
4. Resolution of the Government of Georgia No. 18 of January 30th, 2015 “On determining the rules and conditions for granting qualifications to students upon completion of higher education programs implemented in cooperation between a higher educational institution of Georgia and San Diego State University, different from those established by the legislation of Georgia, for issuing and recognizing documents confirming qualifications"
5. Order No. 65/n of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia “On approval of the regulations and fees for accreditation of educational programs of educational institutions” dated May 4th, 2011;

4. Candidates must submit an application and attached documents to the Faculty Election Commission from October 29th to November 5th, 2025, at the following address: Tbilisi, GTU Building 11, Davit Guramishvili Street, 17, 2nd floor, room №208. Applications are accepted from 10:00 to 05:00 p.m., except weekends and holidays.
5. The application must be accompanied by:
a) a copy of an identity document (ID card, passport);
b) a certificate of academic position held at the relevant faculty of the GTU;
c) information on education, work experience, academic degree;
d) an action plan;
e) documents confirming the candidate’s compliance with the requirements set forth in the application.
6. The public presentation of the action program by the candidates to the Faculty Council will be scheduled for November 11th, 2025.
7. The Academic Council, by a qualified majority (2/3) of votes, by secret ballot, individually decide on the issue of participation in the competition for an administrative position by a person aged 65 and over. A person of the specified age must additionally submit the consent of the Academic Council to the Faculty Election Commission. For this purpose, an interested person on this issue shall apply to the Academic Council with an application by October 27th, 2025, through the University’s Office of Records (address: 77 Kostava St., Administrative Building, 2nd floor). The person’s presence at the Academic Council during the consideration of his/her issue is mandatory, otherwise the issue will not be considered.

The elections will be held in accordance with the University Regulation “On Conducting Elections of the Governing Bodies (Governing Entities) of the Georgian Technical University and the Faculty”, is said in the statement issued by the Council of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Technologies.
