International Student Conference “ICT in Life 2025” Held at GTU
The Georgian-German International Student Scientific-Practical Conference “ICT in Life 2025” was held at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University.

The conference was organized by the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems and the Dresden University of Applied Sciences, in which both Georgian and German students participated. The goal of the conference is to encourage young researchers and students, deepen international academic cooperation, and exchange innovative ideas in such relevant areas as artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity, and biomedical engineering.

According to the Dean of the GTU Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, students presented their own research and practical projects in various areas of modern information and communication technologies at the conference. As Professor Taliko Zhvania states, the event promotes the professional development of students and allows them to introduce their initiatives to a wider audience.

“The International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “ICT in Life” has been traditionally held once a year for the fourth year and has become an established good academic practice at our faculty. The platform provides a unique opportunity for both Georgian and foreign students to present their research and innovative ideas in the field of modern information and communication technologies. With the support of the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, the faculty ensures that students have access to modern scientific achievements and establish close contact with their peers, students from various leading European universities. It gives them the opportunity to deepen their research competencies, exchange knowledge, which in turn means increasing their intellectual potential, developing practical and theoretical skills necessary for high-quality research, and actively participating in international educational and scientific processes. Similar format events broaden the vision of young people and deepen their research culture; therefore, it is a priority for us to create an educational ecosystem that promotes the professional development of students and strengthens interdisciplinary skills. The results of the conference, both in terms of academic quality and the involvement of participants, clearly confirm that such events play a crucial role in creating a successful future for young people, which, I repeat, is a priority for our university,” says Taliko Zhvania.

About 40 students from the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University and the Dresden University of Applied Sciences participated in the International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “ICT in Life 2025”.

The conference presented the results of more than 20 scientific studies, interdisciplinary research, and innovative ideas. At the end of the two-day conference, participants were awarded certificates. With the support of German professors, the papers of the students participating in the conference will be published in one of the popular scientific publications in Germany.
