Visegrad Fund Scholarships
The International Visegrad Fund – established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad Group countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) – focuses on fostering understanding among peoples in Central and Eastern Europe. To date, the Fund has supported more than 2000 grant projects in the region.
As of 2009, the fund is glad to extend the list of eligible countries also to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. This means that as of 2009 scholars who have finished at least 4 years of university studies can apply for 1 to 4 semesters of the Master’s scholarships and scholars of the graduate level (doctoral students) can apply for 1-or 2-semester scholarships at any accredited public or private university in the Visegrad Group Countries, i.e. Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland or the Slovak Republic.
