GTU Rector Congratulates Applicants on Successfully Passing National Exams

The Rector of Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, congratulates all applicants who excelled in the national exams and wishes them success as they embark on this pivotal new chapter.
“Dear young people, I warmly congratulate you on passing the Unified National Exams and entering Georgian Technical University. This vital stage of your life is the foundation for an engaging and varied journey toward education, scholarship, understanding, and personal growth. I trust that each of you will define your own legacy on this path, and the knowledge gained here will be fully utilized for our country’s advancement.
We are sure you know Georgian Technical University is the oldest and largest engineering and technology institution in the South Caucasus, with a strong tradition in both technical and humanitarian fields. Our programs meet Euro-Atlantic academic and research standards and offer practical experience to support your professional growth in Georgia and internationally.
At the Georgian Technical University, you will find renovated, modern-standard auditoriums, laboratories, and innovative learning spaces, where you will have the opportunity to develop engineering, technological, and scientific skills. Within the framework of educational programs recognized as a priority by the Georgian government, our university, among the accredited higher educational institutions throughout the country, has the largest number of bachelor’s educational programs fully funded by the state. This support became possible as a result of the educational policy and priority directions of the Georgian government, which clearly emphasize the government’s vision of investing in education as a determining factor for the country’s future.
We are proud that the university operates modern teaching and research laboratories and scientific infrastructure, where students and scientists create new technologies and innovations based on joint research.
It is most important for us that young people receive an education that ensures their competitiveness both in the Georgian labor market and internationally. To this end, the Georgian Technical University is connected by multilateral educational and scientific partnerships with leading universities, major research centers, and organizations in many countries. In cooperation with them, exchange programs for students and professors, as well as dual-degree educational programs, are actively implemented. It is noteworthy that the English-language bachelor’s program in biomedical engineering of the Georgian Technical University is the only one in the country that has received international ABET accreditation. In the near future, the university will submit several more programs for international accreditation.
In addition, the Georgian Technical University offers a variety of sports activities and their corresponding modern infrastructure, which will contribute to your physical development and the formation of teamwork skills; the youth who love art will be given the opportunity to join choreographic, musical, theatrical and other performing groups within the university space, to participate in various cultural projects, which will contribute to the development of creative vision and make your student life more diverse.
