The Rector extends his condolences to Mr. Gordeziani’s family, colleagues, students, and parents.
“The death of a person of great importance to science leaves a void that is difficult to express in words. With the passing of Academician Rismag Gordeziani, Georgian humanities have lost a distinguished researcher. He gave a new and methodologically sound research perspective to classical philology, Byzantine studies, and neo-Greek studies. His contribution to the formation of the scientific space is especially noteworthy. In this space, humanitarian education and science are the basis for understanding history, language, and national identity.
On behalf of the scientists and researchers of the Georgian Technical University, I express my condolences to the family of Rismag Gordeziani, colleagues, students, teachers, friends and the entire Georgian scientific community.
Rismag Gordeziani’s work will forever remain in the treasury of Georgian science,” is stated in Rector, David Gurgenidze’s condolence letter.
