GTU signs another memorandum with the private sector

Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Tamar Tsereteli, and Deputy General Director of the company “Vasadze Puri”, Giorgi Vasadze, signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The goal of the memorandum is to effectively implement high-quality industrial practice for students of the Bachelor’s degree program in Food Technology of the Georgian Technical University. Within the framework of the agreement, students of the Technical University will receive practical experience directly at the production facilities of “Vasadze Puri”, which will allow them to deepen their theoretical knowledge in a real working environment.

Vice-Rector Professor Tamar Tsereteli emphasized the importance of implementing industrial practice in a real-world environment and noted that such cooperation is of paramount importance for the modern educational process. In turn, Giorgi Vasadze confirmed the company’s readiness to support the professional development of young people and share with them many years of practical experience. According to him, the memorandum represents a strategic step in developing effective cooperation between the higher education system and the private sector. He thanked the GTU Vice-Rector for cooperation and the Department of Student Services, Culture and Sports for organizing the event.

The collaboration between Georgian Technical University and “Vasadze Puri” LTD, which began with a memorandum, marks an important step forward in emphasizing practical components within the educational process. The food technology program requires not only theoretical knowledge but also valuable practical experience, and the partnership with “Vasadze Puri” addresses this need directly. It is essential for our students to become familiar with modern technological processes in a real production environment, as this will enhance their professional skills and improve their employment prospects. It is also worth noting the commitment and readiness of the private sector to support the professional development of young people. This type of partnership promotes synergy between the academic world and the business sector. I would like to express my gratitude to “Vasadze Puri” LTD for their collaboration. I am confident that our joint project will be successfully implemented and will expand further in the future,” said Tamar Tsereteli.

According to Nikoloz Shaverdashvili, Administrator of the Student Services, Culture and Sports Department of GTU, the memorandum signed between the Georgian Technical University and the business sector opens up new perspectives for students, for whom, in addition to theoretical knowledge, it is necessary to acquire practical experience, while experiencing the working environment in real conditions and discovering one’s professional potential are of paramount importance.

“The memorandum signed between the Georgian Technical University and the company is important in the direction of integrating theoretical and practical components, which emphasizes the necessity of an educational process adapted to today’s demands and challenges. The tandem of education and business lays the foundation for creating an innovative, competitive, and sustainable economy. In such a case, young people are not only active participants but also occupy leading positions in professional, social, and technological processes. It is precisely on this type of partnership that the best modern educational model is built, which ultimately ensures both professional growth and sustainable development of society,” states Nikoloz Shaverdashvili.
