The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses his sorrow over the death of Alexander Taliashvili, a member of the Academic Council, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Faculty of Law and International Relations, and distinguished teacher and researcher. He extends his condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and graduates.
“Alexi Taliashvili, a professor at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgian Technical University, died at the age of 77. He was an outstanding researcher and lawyer, a member of the Academic Council, a dedicated teacher who made great efforts to educate the future generation of professionals, a person distinguished by his personal qualities, wisdom, and generosity, and love for the university and his colleagues.
Professor Alexi Taliashvili was at various times the Head of the Judicial Bodies Department of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, Judge of the Didube-Chugureti District Court of Tbilisi, and State Counselor of Justice. He has authored several scientific works, monographs, and textbooks.
It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our dear colleague. On behalf of the university, we express our condolences to Mr. Alexi’s family, the Faculty of Law and International Relations, and his friends and teachers.
