“When I summarize the path that led me to the law enforcement structure, I can confidently say that this path began with the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgian Technical University. The knowledge and skills I gained here have prepared me as a professional. The Georgian Technical University has become the pillar of my professional identity,” - says GTU graduate Giorgi Gakhokia.

Giorgi Gakhokia graduated from the Faculty of Law and International Relations in 2018 and began working in the law enforcement structure.

As Giorgi Gakhokia states, the Faculty of Law and International Relations allowed me to get to know professionals working in the field who led the training courses and, in parallel with theoretical knowledge, shared their expertise with students interestingly based on their extensive practical experience.

“The faculty attached special importance to legality and the principle of the rule of law, which became the foundation of my professional identity. Lectures on constitutional law, criminal justice, and international law helped me consolidate my in-depth knowledge of both Georgia’s domestic legal systems and global law. This knowledge still helps me to act professionally in a complex legal environment and uphold justice.

What distinguished the faculty was the support for student self-creation. The lecturers did their best to promote the development of our critical thinking. During my studies, I participated in several mock trials and legal debates, which significantly refined my skills, which I now use in my daily work. These experiences gave me new perspectives on justice and human rights, which still influence my professional actions. The education I received at the Georgian Technical University was not just preparation for my profession - it was an opportunity to turn my career into a purposeful and value-filled activity,” says the GTU graduate.
