Chairman of the Central Election Commission Giorgi Kalandarishvili held a public lecture for students of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Georgian Technical University.
The public lecture was jointly organized by the GTU Career Development Department of the Academic Process Management Service and the Public Administration Department of the Faculty of Business Technologies. Students of all three levels of the Public Administration educational program of the Faculty of Business Technologies – bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral participated in it.
According to Associate Professor Nato Katamadze, Head of the Career Development Department of the GTU Academic Process Management Service, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission spoke to the students about the challenges in the election processes.
“The goal of the meeting and public lecture was for students to learn about the specifics of the work of the CEC on site and to hear answers to popular questions related to the election process from the head of the administration. Giorgi Kalandarishvili shared information with the students on how to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge they received in a specific lecture subject - electoral systems and legislation. The university administration constantly takes care of public lectures and educational tours allowing students to deepen the knowledge they have gained at the university and to promote their career growth and development,” said Nato Katamadze.
During the public lecture, students learned about the specifics of the Central Election Commission work process, the administration work rules, and election procedures.
