As the rector noted, Vinifera EuroMaster is one of the most prestigious international programs in the world. It is led by a consortium, the members of which, along with the French Agro Montpellier Institute and European universities, is the Georgian Technical University and its Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering. According to David Gurgenidze, the Georgian Technical University is assisted in the implementation of the program by the Georgian-French University, which also takes care of financing the education of selected students at European universities.

“The collaboration between the Georgian Technical University and the European Union international master’s program Vinifera EuroMaster, as well as with the consortium of European universities, is expanding annually. It is noteworthy that a fruitful partnership connects us with the French-Georgian University, which was established with the multilateral support of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia and the Embassy of France in Georgia.

It is gratifying that the third batch of graduates of our English-language Master’s Program in Viticulture and Enology - five masters, talented, motivated, and erudite young people selected for their highest academic achievements, obtained two academic degrees at once - from the Georgian Technical University and five European universities - and, accordingly, they were awarded two diplomas - from Georgian and European universities. This significant success was not easy to achieve, it is the result of the great work of the students and their teachers.

We would like to thank the Government of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, personally Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze, the French Embassy in Georgia, the French-Georgian University, the European Union program Vinifera EuroMaster and the consortium of European universities, without whose support it would have been impossible to implement this important program for Georgia and jointly train high-ranking young specialists. I congratulate our masters on this great success! We believe that they will continue their studies in doctoral studies, and will direct the acquired knowledge and professionalism to the development of Georgian viticulture and winemaking,” noted the rector, academician David Gurgenidze.

During their visit to the Georgian Technical University, scientists, and researchers from institutions involved in the European Union English-language international master’s program - Vinifera EuroMaster - will discuss details related to the expansion of future cooperation with the Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, and will also deliver lectures to students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering.
