“Georgian Technical University is not limited to academic education, it allows students to work on innovative ideas and critically evaluate engineering solutions. The support of professors, who are experienced specialists, has always motivated me to test my abilities,” says Aza Chkharchkhalia, a graduate of Georgian Technical University.

Aza Chkharchkhalia completed her bachelor’s degree in 2017, her master’s in 2019, and her doctorate in 2022. Today, she works as an engineer in a leading design organization and participates in creating innovative, sustainable infrastructure projects.

As Aza Chkharchkhalia says, the educational process at the Faculty of Construction was distinguished by the synthesis of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, the development of constructive analysis skills, deepening knowledge in building materials and seismic engineering, and laboratory and practical work, which helps students solve real engineering problems.

„I work as an engineer in one of the design organizations. When I analyze my student years, I am convinced that the years spent at the university were decisive for my professional development. The Georgian Technical University and its lecturers had a great influence on my professional development. Thanks to the knowledge I gained, I quickly adapted to the requirements of the profession - the ability to analyze structures, use international standards, and work effectively with engineering programs turned out to be a great advantage in my career growth. I would advise those young people planning a career as a civil engineer that a solid educational foundation is necessary, but constant learning is even more important. This field is constantly developing, and knowledge of modern technologies and methods is a decisive factor for success.
