The swimming pool of the Georgian Technical University “Water Sports Center – Tonus” won 3 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals in swimming at the Kvemo Kartli Open Championship.
The Kvemo Kartli Open Swimming Championship was held in Rustavi, at the swimming pool “Tolia” and 125 swimmers from the teams of Tonus, Blacks, Blacks 2, Laguna, Gldani, Gori, Temka, Digomi, Rustavi, Rustavi Arena, and Erta-Eri participated in it.
Archil Ioseliani, Head of the GTU Sports Department of the Student Services, Culture, and Sports Department, congratulates the “Tonus” swimming team on another victory and states that the Georgian Technical University creates all the conditions for a healthy lifestyle to become the norm among the youth.
According to him, the Kvemo Kartli Open Swimming Championship was held in the following age groups born in - girls: 2013-2014 and 2015-2016, and boys: 2011-2012 and 2013-2014.
The members of the “Tonus” team won the following awards: Anna Kvikvinia - 2 silver, Andria Kacheishvili - 1 silver, 1 bronze, Gega Kvanchiani - 1 bronze, Ivan Gavrilichenko - 2 gold, Aleksandr Arutinov - 1 bronze, Ivan Dobryansky - 1 gold, 1 bronze, Semyon Gavrilichenko - 1 bronze, Markozi Nebunishvili - 1 bronze. In the 4X100 m. combined relay, the “Tonus” team, consisting of Aleksandr Arutinov, Nika Gugutsidze, Ivan Dobryansky, Ivan Gavrilichenko, won a bronze medal.
