“I can confidently say that the Georgian Technical University was a decisive factor in my professional development. The knowledge, experience, and values I gained here strengthen me,” says Fati Khalvashi, a deputy of the Supreme Council of Ajara, a majoritarian deputy of the Parliament of Georgia of two convocations.

Fati Khalvashi received her higher education at the Georgian Technical University. She graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute in 1986 with a degree in electrical machinery, and in 2023 she completed her doctoral studies at the GTU Faculty of Business Technologies and is a Doctor of Public Administration.

According to Fati Khalvashi, the knowledge gained at the Georgian Technical University is the main reason for its progress. The century-old educational and scientific experience of the university, as well as relations with leading European universities, research centers, and laboratories, allows one to receive the best, quality education.

“The goals while studying at the Georgian Technical University led me to the Parliament of Georgia, where I had the honor of serving my country and society. I was lucky during my studies - I had extraordinary lecturers and groupmates who made me a better student, helped to develop my thinking, and motivated me to always seek new opportunities. It was the knowledge I gained at the Georgian Technical University that gave me a solid foundation that has served me throughout my career. I defended my doctoral degree in public administration. This has given me a deep knowledge of governance, policy planning, and the work of public institutions. The university taught me responsibility - the understanding that good governance and effective leadership are crucial for the development of our country. Today, I am a deputy of the Supreme Council of Ajara and an assistant professor at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, majoring in public administration, to which I owe a great deal of the knowledge gained at my alma mater.

I take this opportunity to appeal to young people, use every opportunity, not be afraid of challenges, and always strive for perfection. Your potential is limitless. I believe with tireless work you will be able to achieve great goals, in which the Georgian Technical University, the knowledge and experience gained here will help you,” says Fati Khalvashi.
