The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, congratulates the famous scientist and honored economist, researcher at the Irakli Zhordania University Center for the Study of Georgian Industrial Forces and Natural Resources, full member of the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, former member of Parliament, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers, former Minister of Agriculture, winner of numerous awards for his exceptional contribution to the development of science, including the GTU Gold Medal, Academician Nodar Chitanava on his 89th birthday.

“Mr. Nodar, I heartily congratulate you on your 89th birthday! Your distinguished career and invaluable contribution to science and public service have left an indelible mark on the country’s development. As an academician of the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, one of the outstanding researchers of the Zhordania University Center for the Study of Industrial Forces and Natural Resources of Georgia, whose scientific interests include the study of the problems of globalization and the socio-economic and agricultural development of the transitional period in Georgia, as well as the modern issues of the interdependence of the state and the economy, the author of about 150 scientific papers, including 15 monographs, and the winner of numerous state awards, you have played a significant role in the development of Georgian science, and as a signatory of the Act of Restoration of Georgia’s State Independence, you have played a decisive role in our country’s aspiration for sovereignty.

Your dedication, wisdom, and tireless efforts set an example for the generations of scientists, researchers, and professionals. We are grateful for your long academic and scientific work. I wish you longevity, health, and success,” is stated in the congratulatory message of the Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze.
