According to Professor Taliko Zhvania, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, the university plans to overcome this challenge through close cooperation with leading organizations operating in the information technology industry.

“Today, it is difficult to keep up with new technologies that are developing at lightning speed in the world. This also applies to information technologies and artificial intelligence. Accordingly, both professors and students have to work hard to achieve the desired results - to prepare competitive, highly professional young staff who will boldly respond to the demands of the field. This is a mutual interest, for both the university and the employing companies operating in the field. We believe that this can be achieved only through our effective cooperation. It is also important that the process will also strengthen the partnership between the Georgian Technical University and the information technology industry. This will result in modified educational programs that will be in full compliance with current and future requirements, provide us with opportunities to introduce innovative mechanisms, make students' learning practices and internship programs more flexible, strengthen the involvement of employers in the education process, promote the training of competitive specialists, and will also create a solid foundation for the career development of young people. That is why, with the full support of the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, we offer open cooperation to participants in the information technology industry. We are confident that together we will achieve the desired results and contribute to the rapid modernization of educational programs and the learning process,” noted Taliko Zhvania.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed that representatives of the information technology industry will present their visions and proposals to the GTU Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, and to discuss them and reconcile opinions, working meetings will be organized at the Georgian Technical University at certain intervals.
