The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, the University administration, scientific and academic circles, and students express their sorrow over the death of the Academic Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Mr. Tristan Buadze, and extend their condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.

“The Georgian Technical University is saddened by the passing of a wonderful person, colleague, and teacher, talented researcher, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, Academic Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Tristan Buadze, who would have turned 80 this year.

His scientific interests were multifaceted – the general theory of probability theory and mathematical statistics, studies of parametric and nonparametric problems of statistical analysis and statistical estimation of stochastic systems, nonparametric and projection estimates of probability distribution densities, issues of applied statistics and econometrics, mathematical models of mass services, infinite-dimensional statistical structures, and others. 

Along with Mr. Tristan, his students, the youth of different generations, who are today successful specialists and researchers themselves, were actively involved in scientific research.

We express our condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and students of Mr. Tristan Buadze. May the Lord enlighten his soul in the kingdom.”
