Grateful posterity pays the greatest respect to you, an outstanding Georgian architect, a worthy representative of the Georgian architectural school, a meritorious worker of Georgian art, a laureate of the Shota Rustaveli State Prize, an academician of the Georgian Engineering and Physics Academies, a distinguished teacher of the Georgian Technical University, a worthy educator of many youth generations, a great professional, a loyal friend, an educated patriot, and congratulates you on your 90th birth anniversary.
At the Georgian Polytechnic Institute, in this great temple of engineering education, you shared the most difficult and most necessary field of architecture for the country.
Your biography, high scientific authority, universal public recognition, and great contribution to the country and people clearly confirm that you are a truly great teacher and scientist. Mr. Vakhtang, through tireless work, you have achieved great successes and universal recognition.
Your fruitful work educating young specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel is invaluable. You have made an immeasurable contribution to the development of Georgian architecture and the rise of the architectural school. With your dedication to your selfless works, you established an important place in the history of Georgian architecture.
You have published many scientific works and are the author of about 250 projects, including the International Youth Center “Mziuri Veli” in Bakuriani, the Business Center “Mtatsminda” in Tbilisi, the Exhibition Hall of the Georgian Cultural Foundation in Tbilisi, and memorials - the Memorial of the Defenders of the Caucasus in Karachay-Cherkessia, the “Algeti Basilica” in the village of Tbisi, the Sailors’ Memorial in Poti, the Monument of David the Builder in Kutaisi, the “Mother of Colchis” and the Monument to Tsotne Dadiani in Poti, and many others.
Your state and public activities as a great organizer in science and engineering have been deservedly awarded with orders and medals of the country. You have been awarded the highest award of Georgian Technical University, the Giorgi Nikoladze Medal.
Mr. Vakhtang, you are a very philanthropic person. Your Georgian courage, spiritual brilliance, human wisdom, rare leadership skills, phenomenal memory, sincere humility, and dedication to your work have earned you the true respect and love of society.
Mr. Vakhtang! Once again, I heartily congratulate you on your distinguished anniversary! I wish you health, longevity, and courage. We are deeply convinced that with knowledge, rich experience, and high civic values, you will continue to work for the benefit of our university, country, and people for a long time.
