Closing Ceremony of Student Project “Lecturer Hour” Held at GTU
“The project has ended, which played an important role in shaping our worldview. “Lecturer Hour” is one of the interesting projects that the Nodar Tabidze Student Club of the Georgian Technical University has implemented throughout its existence.

For eight months, students have listened to diverse, interesting lectures and, most importantly, on important topics. Thank you to the club and the rector for supporting this project,” said Ana Mikadze, a student of the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences of the GTU, at the closing ceremony of the project “Lecturer Hour”. 

With the support of the rector, academician David Gurgenidze, and the initiative of the Nodar Tabidze Club, the university ran a project “Lecturer Hour”, within the framework of which 15 public lectures were held.

According to the president of the Nodar Tabidze Student Club of GTU - Archil Gurgenidze, the project opened the professor of the Department of Philosophy and Public Relations of the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences and head of the master’s program - Tinatin Apkhaidze with a public lecture “On the Role and Purpose of PR in Society”.

“The first lecture within the framework of the project was delivered by Professor Tinatin Apkhaidze, and the last public lecture “Crisis Management” was given by student Nikoloz Revishvili, and we closed a circle.

The project aimed the specialists from various fields to deliver public lectures on important topics, and students could receive advice from them and get answers to questions of interest to them. I would like to thank our club members, everyone who participated in the successful completion of the project, and the rector for his support,” said the club president.

Within the framework of the “Lecturer Hour,” the young people listened to a public lecture by Professor and Reverend Ananias Japaridze, a member of the Holy Synod of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Manglisi and Tetritskaro, Head of the University Educational and Scientific Center of Theology - “Chaldea - at the origins of Georgian civilization,” and the lectures of GTU professors:

  • Lia Metreveli “Vazha-Pshavela”,
  • Gigla Gobechia “Nodar Tabidze”,
  • Tamta Glonti “Content Creation’ and others.
At the end of the event, the president of the Nodar Tabidze Club presented certificates to the students participating in the project.
