Darius Popovas, Professor of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, who was on a working visit to the Georgian Technical University, held a public lecture for students and faculty of the Bachelor’s Program in Engineering-Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Mining Geology of GTU.
The public lecture “VRscan3 D - Interactive Simulator for Terrestrial Laser Scanning” was opened by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mining Geology. As Professor Nina Maisuradze stated, Darius Popovas holds a public lecture for students of the Faculty of Mining Geology every year.
“Professor Darius Popovas’ public lecture-seminar is in many ways interesting and relevant for young people from any country who consider engineering-geodesy and geoinformatics as their future profession. I am sure that the material presented at the public lecture seminar on international practice and the latest scientific approaches will provide future specialists with a good guide in understanding the process of mutual adaptation of engineering fields,” said Nino Maisuradze.
The Lithuanian guest, within the framework of the visit, visited the educational laboratories and museums of the Faculty of Mining Geology.
