Academician David Gurgenidze, rector of the Georgian Technical University, on behalf of the university community and students, to the famous scientist, engineer and public figure, rector of the Georgian Technical University in 1993-2006, member of the supervisory board of the university, vice-president of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, laureate of the State Prize of Georgia, the recipient of the President’s Gold Medal and the Order of Honor, the holder of the GTU Giorgi Nikoladze Medal, a researcher distinguished by deep erudition and personal qualities, an excellent teacher, and academician Ramaz Khurodze, congratulates him over his 80th anniversary.

Academician Ramaz Khurodze is a prominent representative of the generation of Georgian thinkers who devotes himself to the development of science and has been working for many decades on such important scientific topics as reliability planning of multi-element reserved recoverable control systems, mathematical modeling, tasks of artificial intelligence, the use of neural networks for the process of face recognition, etc. His scientific works have been published in many countries, including Germany, the United States of America, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ukraine.
The chosen way of life, international authority, and universal recognition is a true confirmation of the great contribution made to the motherland. His scientific and public work was celebrated at various times with numerous awards, including the Order of Honor, the Gold Medal of the President of Georgia, the State Prize of Georgia in the field of Science and Technology, and the Giorgi Nikoladze Medal of the Georgian Technical University. He is a true member of many international scientific societies and organizations, including Sigma Xi and the Scientific Research Society.
The immeasurable enthusiasm and love with which academician Ramaz Khurodze works with young people interested in science is enviable and worthy of special mention.
