The VIII Georgian-Polish International Scientific Conference – “Transport Bridge Europe-Asia” will be held at the Georgian Technical University. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering of GTU, partners - Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland), with Akaki Tsereteli State University and Rafiel Dwali Institute of Machine Mechanics.
Academician David Gurgenidze is the chairman of the Scientific Committee of the VIII Georgian-Polish International Scientific Conference, which is an international scientific forum dedicated to solving problems related to private and public transport. The two-day conference is attended by both Georgian and foreign scientists and researchers from different countries of the world.
According to Professor Boris Gitolendia, Dean of the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering of the Georgian Technical University, scientists, researchers, and students of 15 leading universities of the world are participating in the conference.
“A total of 50 scientific reports and research results related to the current situation, problems, and development trends in road, railway, sea, and air transport are presented at the conference. Also, the dynamics of rolling stock and technological transport, issues of diagnostics, monitoring, technical condition and service of vehicles, information systems and technologies of transport, intelligent transport systems, transport and ecology issues, and other relevant topics”, - said the dean.
For information: VIII Georgian-Polish International Scientific Conference will start on October 16th. 12 delegations from 6 countries visited the Georgian Technical University within the framework of the conference. On October 17th, the sessional work of the conference will continue as Georgian and international sessional panels. The conference will officially close on October 18th.
