On September 10th, the Georgian Technical University will host the science festival - GGSB 2024 Science Fest “The First 20 Years” within the framework of the Georgian-German Scientific Bridge (GGSB).
The scientific event – “The first 20 years of GGSB and the achievements of its SMART Labs” is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Georgian-German scientific bridge. The week-long Science Fest will summarize the achievements of science, education, and personal and cultural exchange programs over the past two decades.
The science festival is organized by members of the Georgian-German Science Bridge (GGSB) from Germany: Jülich Research Center (FZJ), Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ions Darmstadt (GSI), Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the consortium of partner universities of Georgia: Georgian Technical University (GTU), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Agrarian University of Georgia (AUG), Ilia State University (ISU), Kutaisi International University (KIU) and on September 9-13, 2024, jointly manage the 10th Georgian-German School-Seminar in Natural Sciences (GGSWBS 2024).
Anniversary events will be hosted in Tbilisi: Tbilisi State University - named after Ivane Javakhishvili - on September 9th, Georgian Technical University - on September 10th, and in Kutaisi - Kutaisi International University - on September 11-13.
The science festival will be held in two parts:
- GGSB status and future vision: history of cooperation, main achievements, determination of plans and strategic directions, which will be presented at events planned in TSU and GTU;
- In Kutaisi, at KIU - Georgian students and invited foreign experts will present the results of joint research achieved within the framework of GGSB and give reports, a course of lectures on such topical topics as Hadronic Therapy, Visualization of Medical Images, Applications of Artificial Intelligence in science and others.
